Starting with 01.01.2007, when Romania became a full member of the European Union, the Romanian national benefit of free circulation right and can travel with their identity card in the following member state of the EU:

Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Great Britain, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Hungary, Belgium, Slovakia and Sweden.

Also, the Romanian nationals traveling in the EU, will NOT be required to present at the border control for leaving the country the following:

1. round trip ticket;
2. medical insurance;
3. amounts of money for guaranteeing the trip;
4. invitation or any other proving documents.
